Rebranded as the Bay State Herald in 2017, the Herald traces its roots back two-years prior when it launched as Beantown Sports in 2015. Before finding its current identity, the publication lived for a short time under the masthead the Benton Post.
The Herald is owned and operated by Community First Media of Schodack, NY and has shared content agreement with its CFM sister publication, The Upstate Courier. Tamara Cookingham is the principle president of CFM and Dylan Rossiter, the company’s founder, is Editor-at-Large of all CFM properties.
The Bay State Herald is a collaborative project amongst Rossiter, and co-EAL Chris Van Buskirk. The organization has a staff of five and many more frequent contributors.
